Are you ready?
I’m super excited to share the cover for The Band From Another World, releasing September 8. As the final book in the Alien Survival Guide series, I can’t wait for you to read it and see how Marv’s story ends. The book is available for pre-order, and as always, I’d love it if you were able to suggest it as a purchase at your local library.
Personally, this is my favorite cover of the entire series! It looks like it’s ready to be turned into an animated movie or series (hint hint to any TV/film producers who see it).

I can’t wait for you to read Marv’s last adventure. I’m also looking forward to sharing some behind-the-scenes stuff in the next few months, including my own high school and college bands that influenced different elements of this last story.
Other News
I recently had the opportunity to do my first-ever school visit at Grande Innovation Academy in Casa Grande, AZ. I was lucky enough to visit a 6th-grade class that had read I Know What UFO Did Last Summer earlier in the year. It was a lot of fun talking about the writing process and answering their questions! It’s definitely something I’d like to do more of in the future, so feel free to reach out if you know of any classes interested in doing something like this for the next school year!
What I’m Reading
I recently finished reading The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Manga), by Akira Himekawa. The manga team that writes and illustrates as Akira Himekawa have done a lot of Zelda adaptations in the past. But those were usually confined to just one or two volumes. The adaptation of Twilight Princess stretches across 11 volumes, and in my opinion, this makes it by far the best one. Having more storytelling space lets us spend more time with the characters, and it adapts the game in many interesting ways. While the other ones often felt like we were jumping around and skipping story beats, this feels like a complete story from beginning to end. An easy recommendation for fans of the video game series or fantasy adventures.
